Arrow is an American action-adventure television series based on the fictional superhero Green Arrow, the comic book crime fighter. The story is about a billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, who gets stranded on a remote island in the Pacific for five years after a shipwreck that claimed the life of his father and Sara Lance, the sister of Oliver’s girlfriend Laurel (Katie Cassidy). Oliver was having a secret affair with Sara prior to her death. On returning home, Oliver Queen is a changed man who is fighting crime and corruption with the help of his bodyguard, John Diggle (David Ramsey). As a secret vigilante using a bow and arrow, he hunts down Starling City’s corrupt millionaires in a book presumably left behind by his father.  He survives many deadly encounters, but that does not stop him from seeking vengeance despite the tormenting memories of the island. But the one thing he has failed to acknowledge even with John Diggle’s investigations is that his mother Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson) could be the person behind everything that is happening. For anyone interested in action adventure, Arrow is a must watch.
