Castle Lite Uganda OpenMen’s final, yesterdayGasigwa 6-4, 6-1 HabiyambereTOP SEED Jean Claude Gasigwa maintained his recent impressive form as he ended a two-year curse to win the Castle Lite Uganda Open Tennis Championships yesterday.Gasigwa dispatched his compatriot Dieudonne Habiyambere in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 in an all-Rwandan final match that lasted nearly two hours at the Kampala Club.The Nyarutarama Tennis Club player stormed the final after dispatching pre-tournament favourite Duncan Mugabe 6-4, 7-6 [5] on Friday.After winning his second Uganda Open title, the 28-year old said, "I am extremely happy for the victory, which gives me confidence going into the coming competition this year.”The experienced player was making his second consecutive final in his 10th appearance at the Uganda Open. He last won the tournament in 2009 at the same venue.
