An upcoming art exhibition launch is set to bring back the memories of Rwanda through art and photographs.The grand opening for Images of Memory art exhibition will take place on March 29, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Kwetu Film Institute in Gaculiro Estate 2020.Entrance to the exhibition is free and the event is open to the public. The month-long show runs until April 29th. Uburanga Arts Studio, the organiser of the exhibition, promises outstanding and stunning pieces.According to the organisers, the main purpose of the exhibition is to keep art alive in Rwanda, with unity and reconciliation as the key focus during this period. The exhibition will feature images that are conserved in paintings, sculptures and photographs. The paintings are made using acrylic and other materials used to make sculptures.  The art show will feature photography, something very few Rwandans understand. The show will also feature pieces by international photographers who captured images of Rwanda.The art show will also establish young Rwandan photographers and help them move forward in their field.Uburanga Arts Studio was founded in June 2010 by a visual artist, Bakunzi Jean-Bosco, with the purpose of connecting with other visual artists to share ideas, discover young talented artists and keep art alive in Rwanda.  The work of established artists, undiscovered talents and innovative young people will be featured too.
