THE chairman of the Council of East and Central Africa football Association (Cecafa) Leodegar Tenga has led the regional football governing body in mourning the death of their media officer Finny Muyeshi. Tenga described Muyeshi, a Kenyan national, as a dedicated servant of Cecafa, who served the regional body with dedication. He said the late Muyeshi was a humble man, who took his responsibilities seriously. He added that Cecafa had lost "an asset difficult to replace.”He consoled his family and friends and wished them the strength during this difficult moment.Muyeshi was one of the most recognizable journalists to Kenyan and East African football and volleyball supporters. He has been battling a long kidney illness which he succumbed to at Nairobi Hospital on Wednesday night.He joined Cecafa in 2002 having spent over a decade at the Standard. Muyeshi started his journalism career in 1985 moving to The Standard as a junior correspondent before rising on to become senior Sports Editor.A communication from Fufa Media and acting Cecafa media Boss Rogers Mulindwa says the deceased will be buried next week in Busia County, Western Kenya.
