Rwanda will compete in the 2013 IAAF Road Race code named "MANGYONGDAE PRIZE MARATHON” scheduled for April 14 in Pyongyang, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).The Rwanda Athletics Federation Secretary General, Johnson Rukundo said that this time the athletes will be looking for the IAAF minimum requirements needed to participate in big international competitions.Rwanda will be represented by two marathon runners; Jean Pierre Mvuyekure and Frederic Habakurama.Rukundo said the main objective of participating in the race is for the two athletes to aim for the minimum standards so as to qualify for the World Championships slated for August in Russia as well as the Francophone Games in September in Nice, France.Robert Kajuga has already secured qualification at the World Athletics Championships after getting the minimum requirements last year. "This time we want to make a challenge at the high level. We don’t want to participate only, that is why the team has started the trainings early,” Rukundo told Saturday Sport on Thursday.The team is currently in intensive training in the high altitudes of Gicumbi
