After losing their key players to rival clubs, National University of Rwanda have gone on shopping spree and signed eight players ahead of the start of the national volleyball league which starts on Saturday.The new signings include; Costante Gatsinzi from St Joseph, Bosco Mutabazi from APR, Evode Muyandinda, Jean Claude Mangau from INATEK, Clement Musabe from Nyanza and free transfer Benjamin Kangabo."We need to build a strong team with a mixture of youth and experience so we can compete favourably with the top teams in the league. "I know we lost our main players but NUR will always remain strong and competitive and I hope we will do better in the league with the players we have,” said head coach Fidele ‘Fidjo’ Nyirimana.He added, "We started training a few weeks ago and I believe we will be in good sharp before league kickoffs.” NUR lost Flavier Ndamukunda, Elve Kagimbura and Christian Shingiro, who joined INATEK, Adolphe Mutoni and Bonny Mutabazi to APR.Rwanda Volleyball Federation have confirmed that the 2013 league season will start on March 16.
