Despite the poor results for Rwanda in their last couple of games, Amavubi Stars head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic is confident his men can still get a good result against Mali on March 24, in the first Group H 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier in Kigali. The under fire Serb coach has already confirmed 13 pros as part of the provisional squad, which will be involved in the forthcoming build-up game against Libya at the weekend before he selects his final team for the Mali clash a week later."We will prepare for the game well, and with a big pool of players we will have, I hope we can get a good result against a very good Mali side. For this match, there is no player who will complain that he was not given a chance to prove himself,” Micho told Times Sport recently. The former St. George coach, who has eight months left on his two-year contract, noted, "I will give a chance to everyone (against Libya) before the final team selection for the match against Mali. It will be time for real business, so it is up to the players to do well before the selection.” Micho was recently on a scouting tour to Europe where he met several Rwandan players, particularly in Belgium and France, but upon his return, gave little away regarding the whole trip, which lasted close to two weeks.Nine of the 13 professionals are based in Europe namely; Solomon Nirisarike [Antweerp], Jimmy Mulisa [Tubize], Reinford Jessy [Namur], Henri Munyaneza [Sint-Niklaas], Steven Godfroid [Union Saint-Gilloise], Edwin Ouon [AEL Limassol], Patrick Vouho [AEL Limassol], Jean Paul Lutula [Unattached] and Elias Uzamukunda [AS Cannes].The other four play on the African continent, namely; Olivier Fils Karekezi [AC Bizertin], Haruna Niyonzima [Yanga FC], Mbuyu Twite [Yanga FC], and Dady Birori [AS Vita].Rwanda lost 4-0 against Algeria and drew 1-1 with Benin in the opening two qualifiers and currently occupy the bottom position in the four-team Group H. Benin top the group with 4 points, followed by Mali and Algeria with three points each.
