One day Andrew was on his way from school. He met Joseph who studied from a different school but who lived together with him in the same village. As they went conversing about what happened at their school, Andrew had a lot to tell that day.

Andrew knew how to speak English well. This helped him to talk more than Joseph who could not speak good English. When Joseph realized that he had very little to say, he decided to lie about a very serious thing that happened.
He did this to show that he could win Andrew in speaking English. He said "At our school something happened. I saw a green grass in a green snake and when I was about to kill it, I ……” Joseph couldn’t finish the story.
"What! I have never heard this. A green grass in a green snake? How can a green grass be in a green snake? That’s a lie. I can’t believe what you are saying” exclaimed Andrew.
Joseph was ashamed because he could not even win by telling a lie to Andrew. Therefore children should stop lying because there are a lot of mistakes that happen when you lie just like what happened to Joseph.
