The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo has extended congratulatory message on behalf President Paul Kagame and the government of Rwanda to the Kenya’s new President-elect, Uhuru Kenyatta ,upon his victory in the just concluded elections."The President has congratulated the president-elect Uhuru Kenyatta. Rwanda appreciates and is supportive of the choice of the Kenyans, and as a region, we shall continue being supportive of Kenya,” she told Sunday Times yesterday.The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Isaac Hassan announced Kenyatta as the winner after fulfilling the constitutional requirements. Kenyatta secured 6,173,433 votes, representing 50.07 per cent of the total votes cast and getting 25 per cent in 32 of Kenya’s 47 Counties.Hover the Coalition for Reform and Democracy Presidential candidate Raila Odinga who came second protested Uhuru’s win terming it illegitimate.
