Rwanda’s professional golfer Emmanuel Ruterana could not live up to his reputation after yet another awful display in Uganda.

The 24-year-old continued to struggle for form after carding 150 in a two-day corporate tournament that was staged at Kitante golf club and sponsored by Housing Finance.

After an appalling day one display of 75, the BCR sponsored golfer failed to recover on day two as he played the same score to finish off in fifth place. After the event, Ruterana who is yet to win a tournament this year was furious with himself.

"That’s golf. You have good and bad spells. This is clearly a bad one for me but I will continue working hard to get back to my best,” he said.

The top four slots were claimed by the Ugandan quartet of Deo Akope who has been in imperious form lately, Godfrey Mande, Herman Mutawe and Dickson Lagoro.

Akope who finished second at last year’s Rwanda Open topped the score charts after carding 136, 12 shots ahead of Godfrey Mande and Herman Mutawe who tied in second place with 148.

The Ugandan walked way with Shs.800, 000 (about Frw260.000) in the Shs.3million event.
