APR FC first choice goalkeeper Jean Luc ‘Bakame’ Ndayishimiye has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season after breaking a born in his left leg during last week’s national football league match against Mukura in Huye.The 27-year-old Amavubi Stars stopper will be out of action for three months, and is expected to return to training in June, the earliest. It means he will miss APR’s CAF Champions League return leg match against Burundi’s Vital’O, the remaining eight league games, the Peace Cup as well as Amavubi’s crucial World Cup Brazil 2014 qualifier at home to Mali next month.The injury comes just two months after reclaiming his place as APR’s first choice keeper from long-time friend and rival for both club and country Jean Claude Ndoli, who now gets the chance to get back into the first team. "Doctors have confirmed that I will be out for up to three months, it’s unfortunate but I’m hopeful I can return before the three months.  However, as the situation stands right now, my season is over,” Bakame told Times Sport from his home in Kabeza, a suburb of Kigali City.He added, "I have got good treatment and I’m responding well to the medicine. I can’t speculate about the exact return date, but I hope to be on field again before the season ends and in case i can’t make it, then iam lookin at being ready for pre-season.”In 2007, Bakame won second division league title with now defunct Renaissance, before joining Atraco (also defunct) where he won league in 2008, Peace Cup 2009 and Cecafa-Kagame Cup 2009.After his heroic performance in the final of the 2009 Kagame Cup final in Khartoum against Sudanese champions El Merreik, APR snapped him up and he has since won four league titles, three Peace Cup titles and one Kagame Cup. The lanky goal keeper has been regular for Amavubi since making his international debut against Equatorial Guinea in 2007 in a game Rwanda lost 2-1.He has played under different coaches including Michael Nees, Josep Kuze, Branko Tucuk, Eric Nshimiyimana, Selas Tete and currently Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic.
