Dear editor,
Many Rwandans have been eagerly waiting for the day as well as numerous tourists and conservationists who have travelled from a far just to attend this function.
Kinigi is the host place and well deserved applause goes out to the Rwandan National Office of Tourism and National Parks (ORTPN)
The skill and smoothness with which they tactfully created awareness among the people, both local and foreign is unbelievable.
Through the various advertisements and entertainment shows like the one of P-Square and Chameleon they were able to draw crowds to get interested in the function.
As all roads were heading to Kinigi and I believe the gorilla naming ceremony will remain to be a day the people of Rwanda will never forget.
This kind of unity is one that Rwandans should always dwell on, in order to avoid conflicts among themselves. Peace and Love should be the order of the day and gorilla naming is one of the ways that solidifies it.
