A 2-all draw with Uganda Cranes in this month’s international friendly match had a positive impact on Rwanda’s position in the latest Fifa/Coca Cola rankings released on Thursday.The Amavubi Stars have improved seven places to 130 and are 39th on the continent after accumulating 246 points since the last ranking.Papy Sibomana scored a late goal to deny Uganda their first ever victory in Rwanda as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw in  Kigali on February 6.Uganda top the Cecafa region in 84th place despite dropping three places, followed by Sudan, who also dropped four places to 104th, then Ethiopia (114th), Burundi (115th), Kenya (126th) and Tanzania in 127th place.By clinching their third African Cup of Nations title, Nigeria have not only ended a 19-year drought since they last won the tournament, but have also climbed 22 places to 30th, their best ranking since August 2010 while beaten finalists Burkina Faso moved up a massive 37 places to 55th. Ivory Coast remain the top side in Africa, 12th in the world, while Ghana are second and 19th in the world, followed by Mali.Spain continues to reign supreme ahead of Germany and Argentina. England complete the top four after their home win over Brazil.
