Editor,In reaction the article, "The task at hand for RPF cadres”, (The New Times, February 11), my thinking is that it is the right time to start thinking about how the progress can be sustained after 2017. It is, however, proper for the cadres to show that they have matured to take on the mantle come 2017.Someone will definitely be able to take office. Lucky enough, he will have a super mentor behind him or her. As Rwandans, we need to set ourselves apart and embrace true democracy by accepting change however challenging it might be. We need to trust our institutions that we have built over time. President Kagame has done a great job and he has created a firm foundation for whoever should take over from him. Let us learn from our neighbours that life presidency has never been a solution but rather something that might undermine our agaciro (self esteem).Richard Niwenshuti,Kigali
---------------------------------------Editor,Dear Rwandans, my suggestion is that we should not work towards appeasing the West. Instead, we should do what is in the interest of all citizens. We love our President and we pray to God to keep him in the office for many terms as the interests of Rwandans still remain of concern to him. Thank you.Gerald Butera, School of Finance and Banking, Kigali
