Nkurunziza elected new FRVB boss

GUSTAVE Nkurunziza, a former Petit Seminaire player was elected the chairman of the Rwanda volleyball federation, FRVB yesterday at Amahoro stadium.Nkuruniza won with 11 votes while his running mate, also a former national team player Antoine Sebalinda posted 5 votes.Others members elected were Julius Kansime as the vice chairman, Jean Pierre Ribanje is the second vice chairman Jean Pierre Ribanje while Serge Kayitare was elected general secretary and Providence Mukamurenzi voted as the treasurer.The General Assembly was also voted Method Rutagungira as its chairman while Java Sebagenzi is his vice chairman.Nkurunziza said, "Taking our sport to the next level is my vital and challenging task and I will do all I can to raise the level of Rwanda volleyball but I will not accomplish this task alone, I need everyone’s support and advice from everyone who is in volleyball family to make this mission possible,”"This is another big step and we need to work hand in hand to help our game elevate to the next level,” noted 39 years-old.Nkurunziza who has replaced Charles Uyisenga will be in office until 2017.
