Defending champion Davite Giancarlo is eager to retain his Rwanda National Championship title starting with the season opening round, the Sprint rally to be held on Saturday at Nduba in Gasabo district.Giancarlo, who won last year’s edition, went on to win the national rally championship for a fourth consecutive time with 102 points. "I don’t know the contenders yet but the mission remains the same, to win the national rally championship once again,” the Italy-born rally ace told Saturday Sport.According to the organisers, the sprint rally will attract ten drivers.They include defending champion Giancarlo, closest contender Olivier Costa, Burundian valery Bukera and Mohammed, Claude Kwizera, Janvier Mutuga, Genese, Gracien Rutabingwa, Serge Rusagara and Nadine Umuhire.The one-day 84km race will see drivers traversing from Nduba to Kajevuba six times.
