How about a demarcated bus-lane to avert traffic jams?

Editor, From my personal experience, traffic jams around Rwandex and Sonatubes sections along the Remera — city centre highway are certainly due to the volume of cars, but more importantly the buses that just stop anywhere on the road to try to pick up passengers.

Editor,From my personal experience, traffic jams around Rwandex and Sonatubes sections along the Remera — city centre highway are certainly due to the volume of cars, but more importantly the buses that just stop anywhere on the road to try to pick up passengers. Larger areas, on which to constuct bus stops, would definitely help to avoid a large part of the traffic problems. How about a demarcated bus lane?Peace, Kigali----------------------------Editor,There is a short stretch of a road, which for some unknown reason, road planners have not seen until now, which would reduce congestion. That is the stretch from the southern tip of the golf course through SOS Kacyiru, up to Minagri where it joins or crosses the main road from Ministeri to KBC. This short stretch would take most Nyarutarama, Kinyinya, Kibagabaga, Kagugu bound traffic off the main road at the Kimihurura-junction. It is such a short stretch that it can be done very fast. But it is little known and little used so I guess the mayors, infrastructure planners, and so on, don’t know/see its potential to change the congestion picture on the Remera – Kigali City Centre road. Let them pay close attention to this stretch.Hope, Mile 40 Nyamirambo, Kigali
