After surviving a motorcycle accident on Monday that left the rider in critical condition, local crooner Mani Martin has been discharged from the Kigali University Teaching Hospital (CHUK) and is now recuperating at his Nyakabanda home."I’m feeling pain all over my body but the doctors have assured me I will be fine anytime soon,” said Mani Martin told The New Times  yesterday.When asked about the fate of the driver that hit him, Mani Martin replied, "I don’t know that person and I don’t remember anything apart from waking up in the hospital and asking the doctors what I was doing in the hospital. Hopefully when I get better I will try and find out”.According to eyewitnesses, the 24 year old, who was travelling by a motorbike, was hit by a speeding car at around 8am on his way to the Kigali Serena Hotel where he reportedly had a meeting.Meanwhile, Mani Martin disclosed that he would travel to Zanzibar later this month. "I had been selected to represent Rwanda at ‘Sauti za Busara’ festival in Zanzibar which kicks off on the 14th of this month but I don’t know whether I will make it though everything is in God’s hands now”.  Sauti za Busara is an annual concert that brings together African artists and bands. Mani Martin is scheduled to perform alongside musicians like; Cheikh Lô (Senegal)  Khaira Arby (Mali)  Comrade Fatso & Chabvondoka (Zimbabwe)  Sousou & Maher Cissoko (Senegal / Sweden)  Peter Msechu (Tanzania)  Atongo Zimba (Ghana / UK)  N’Faly Kouyaté (Guinea)  Nathalie Natiembe (Reunion),  and others from across africaMani Martin begun singing at the tender age of 11 in an ADEPR church choir and launched two albums last year at a sell-out concert in Kigali. The albums were "My destiny” and "Intero y’amahoro”
