The army team is now one point behind the leaders Espoir, who have 24 points.In other matches, National University of Rwanda lost to United Generation 49-60, Rusizi was beaten at home to Cercle Sportif de Kigali 47-57. United Generation Basketball lost their would-be encounter with Rusizi through forfeit (20-0) after the former failed to turn up for the game in Rusizi.League leaders Espoir and reigning champions Kigali Basketball Club were not in action at the weekend. The league will continue next weekend.After finishing on top in the first round with an unbeaten record, Espoir are continuing to lead the league but with APR closing the gap to just a point, it leaves the race for the title wide open.Other former champions Circle Sportif de Kigali are in third place, with 22pts, while holders Kigali Basketball club are in fourth position with 20pts.United Generation Basketball and 30+ are in fifth position with 19pts each, Rusizi in seventh position with 17pts, Kigali Institute of Education with 16pts in 8th position, while National University of Rwanda lie bottom with 13pts.
