R&B musician Mani Martin was yesterday morning admitted at the intensive care unit of Kigali University Teaching Hospital (CHUK) after he was involved in a taxi-moto accident along Avenue Paul XI.
R&B musician Mani Martin was yesterday morning admitted at the intensive care unit of Kigali University Teaching Hospital (CHUK) after he was involved in a taxi-moto accident along Avenue Paul XI.According to eyewitnesses, the 24 year old, who was travelling by motorbike, was hit by a speeding car at around 8am on his way to the Kigali Serena Hotel where he reportedly had a meeting.By press time, Mani Martin was still admitted at the hospital but his family, friends and fellow musicians who managed to see him at the hospital told The New Times that the doctors had assured them he would make it. According to the medics, the injuries he sustained were not life threatening.It is believed that he sustained injuries on his neck and legs. However, the moto rider is said to be in a more critical condition. Witnesses at the scene of the accident suggested he might have to get his legs amputated because they were badly broken.Mani Martin, who begun singing at the tender age of 11 in an ADEPR church choir, launched two albums last year at a sell-out concert in Kigali. The albums were "My destiny” and "Intero y’amahoro”
