Rwandair Express, the national carrier has added extra rotation to the Kigali-Entebbe route, bringing the total number of flights from 9 to 13 weekly.

A statement issued by management on Tuesday says a steady increase in the number of regular passengers has forced the airline to add flights on the route.

Using two planes—a 37 seater, Dash-200 and a 50 seater, CRJ-50 on the route, most business passengers prefer using the carrier.

"Rwandair now operates two flights daily between the Kigali and Entebbe route with the exception of Sunday,” the statement said.

"The business flight is the new addition to the double daily afternoon and evening routes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to Entebbe”, the statement further says.

The plane will be departing from Kigali for Entebbe at 7am and departing from Entebbe to Kigali at 9am every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Management of Rwandair says the morning flights will also be convenient to business travelers, who will be able to fly between Kigali and Entebbe and return on the same day to either city with ease. The flight charges on the routes start from $199 taxes exclusive.

"The afternoon flights on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday provide convenient connections to passengers traveling with Emirates out of Entebbe to the rest of the world,” the statement says.

In addition to the double daily flights between Kigali and Entebbe, Rwandair also operates daily flights to Nairobi, Bujumbura and 3 flights weekly to Kilimanjaro and Kamembe - Cyangugu.
