Partners in Health staff boost Agaciro with Rwf23m

The staff of Partners in Health (Inshuti Mu Buzima) have contributed Rwf23,343,120 towards the Agaciro Development Fund.  According to the Partners in Health (PIH) Deputy Country Director, Antoinette Habinshuti, the generosity was an indication that the organisation’s employees were committed to the country’s development.

The staff of Partners in Health (Inshuti Mu Buzima) have contributed Rwf23,343,120 towards the Agaciro Development Fund. According to the Partners in Health (PIH) Deputy Country Director, Antoinette Habinshuti, the generosity was an indication that the organisation’s employees were committed to the country’s development.PIH officials said the contribution, along with support from many Rwandans and friends, will advance the continued growth of the country. "We commend the visionary leadership of the Rwandan government and the impressive commitment of the Rwandan population to supporting their own development,” said PIH Rwanda Country Director, Dr Peter Drobac. The Director of Government Portfolio Management in the Ministry of Finance, Cyrille Hategekimana, thanked the organisation for the contribution and encouraged others to follow the example. Robust activityPIH is an international non-governmental organisation which works closely with the government and rural communities to support and strengthen the health system and poverty reduction initiatives in the country. Since 2005, Partners In Health has invested more than $80m in Rwanda’s development, building or renovating three rural hospitals, supporting more than 40 health facilities, and working with the Ministry of Health to offer new medical services, such as cancer care.
