Rwanda senior national volleyball player Lawrence Yakan Guma was full of praises for the youth team players after they beat the hosts in the first match of the ongoing Africa Youth Championship in Algeria.The 27-year old left attacker has also hailed the plan of using youngsters in big competitions which he says will raise the level of Rwandan volleyball."It was an interesting game to watch but we need to continue to use many young players in big competitions so as to raise the level of volleyball in the country,” the former Kigali volleyball club and APR player told Times Sport from Setif.He added: "Majority of them are still young and if they continue playing like this, after one season, Rwanda will be a very difficult team to beat.""But we need to send more outside of the country so that they can get experience which in return will help the national team,” he explained.Meanwhile, Rwanda lost the second match on Thursday against Tunisia 3-0 (25-16, 28-26, 25-17).
