Kenya leads the standings with eight points after they beat Egypt 70-64 on Thursday. Kenya’s final match was against Uganda on Friday and a win would ensure the Kenyan girls qualify for the Cup of Nations as the best of Zone 5.The only hope for Rwanda to qualify as second best is to only secure a win against third-placed Uganda today in the last game in the round robin competition.The men’s semifinals played last evening, Rwanda were due to take on Somalia, while Egypt took on Kenya. The finals are set for today. The Cup of Nations will be hosted by Democratic Republic of Congo in August.
