AMAVUBI Stars forward Meddie Kagere is open to make a quick return to Police FC after partying ways with Tunisian Premier League side Esperance Sportive de Zarzis this month.Kagere told Times Sport in an exclusive interview, yesterday, "I am really happy with the prospect of playing for Police once again. It is better here in Rwanda than struggling in a foreign land.”"I will play for Police until the end of the season and after that I will decide my future. I still want to try my luck abroad,” confessed the Uganda-born striker, who is also a target for Rayon Sport.The former Mukura and SC Kiyovu player was released by Esperance Sportive de Zarzis five months after signing a two-year contract. His release comes after the Tunisian side filed for bankruptcy.Kagere was one of the two Rwandan internationals in the Tunisian league, another one being Amavubi captain Olivier Karekezi, who plays for Bizertin FC.Kagere’s move was reported to have cost the Tunisian side a US$150,000. In Rwanda, Kagere featured for the now defunct Atraco, Mukura, Kiyovu and Police.Police stormed to the summit of the Primus National Football League standings after a 2-0 victory over Muhanga last weekend.The win took the Cops’ team to the top of the table with 28 points 28 points at the halfway stage of the season.
