Rwanda’s Amavubi Stars’ defeat of an African giant in the 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifiers was the game of the day according to Fifa website.

Being cast in the role of group favorites proved the kiss of death in several of the weekend’s CAF Zone qualifiers for the 2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa.

Morocco, Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Cameroon, Angola and Mali, many of whom featured at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2008, all dropped precious points on a day of surprises.
