Moesha Teta is 8 years old and she is in primary three. Her best friend is her pussy cat called Shnudoo. Moesha says she started looking after Shnudoo at five weeks. Her pussy cat plays all the times and makes her laugh.

Shnudoo likes to meow at people especially when she is hungry. Every morning Moesha gives Shnudoo a cup of milk and then remembers to tell her mother Theresa, to feed Shnudoo while she is at school.

At their home, Shnudoo sleeps in Moesha’s room but her main role is to run after rats. Moesha’s mother and father are so proud of Shnudoo especially because she is a peaceful cat.

Shnudoo has grown into a mother cat. Shnudoo gave birth to three beautiful baby kittens on 30th May and Moesha will give away one kitten to her friend Shafiq so that Shafiq will also learn to raise a pet for a best friend.

Pets make you smile even when you are feeling sad. Moesha says that whenever she comes from school her Shnudoo is waiting to welcome her. Even when Shnudoo is so sick, Moesha will tell her mum to visit a veterinary doctor.

Pets should often be taken for washing and vaccination against most animal diseases. Children must know that all pets depend on people for survival. Everyone should love their pet because it will love you back. They actually need so much love.
