Six-time league champions Rayon Sport have threatened to impose tough sanctions on striker Jerome Sina for abandoning the club after being punished for leaving the club without permission early this month. The Amavubi striker had his month’s salary [Rwf400, 000] deducted by 1/3 as part of the punishment for leaving the club but the latter reiterated, saying, "I don’t agree with what Rayon Sport have done because I went to DR Congo to solve personal problems and I informed them.”"I have quit the club, from now, I am not a Rayon Sport player. I am going to write officially informing the club to look for my replacement. I have been punished over nothing and I think enough is enough,” the DR Congo-born forward told Times Sport. However, club chairman who also doubles as the Mayor of Nyanza district, Abdallah Murenzi, said, "Sina has to respect the club rules. He is an employee of this club just like all the other players and he was punished due to his misconduct.”"If he continues with his behaviour, he will face even tougher punishments because we will not entertain such indiscipline at the club,” fumed Murenzi.According to reliable sources, Sina, who is being targeted by Police FC, is frustrating the Blues deliberately so they can release him for free.
