Protecting children should be everybody’s obligation. Children’s universal rights say that they should not be subjected to adult labor.

But unfortunately, children in Africa continue to be abused through violence in countries that have wars. Some children are taken and made soldiers to fight.

Some who survive in the wars go and stay in refugee camps where children suffer. In some countries children do not have enough food to eat.

They stay hungry for days and this is not good. We call upon all the governments and people of Africa to use all the power they have to protect and help these children who are suffering.

The ‘African Child Day’ which is on June 16th should be a day that reminds us of the obligation to protect innocent children who are living in Africa.
