PNFL, YesterdayEspoir Fc     0-1     Police FCPOLICE FC leapfrogged SC Kiyovu at the top of the Primus National Football league table standing following a decisive 1-0 victory over Espoir on Saturday in Rusizi.Amavubi striker Imran Nshimiyimana, signed from AS Kigali at the start of the season, scored the lone goal of the game on 25th minute to help his team end the first round in the driving seat with 28 points, two points ahead of Kiyovu, who had head Jean Baptist Kayiranga resign on Thursday.The match was initially supposed to be played a fortnight ago but was cancelled following a road accident that claimed the lives of four police officers as the team was enroute to Rusizi.The second round is due to start on January 26. Espoir remain on tenth position with 14 points as the table remains unchanged for other clubs as well. Etincelles and Isonga Fc lay in the relegation zone with 9 and 8 points respectively.Meanwhile, traditional rivals Rayon Sport and SC Kiyovu a friendly match today at Amahoro stadium in a Rwanda Football Media Limited Cup contest. The winner’s cash prize of US$4000 [about Rwf2.6m] on top of the trophy.  The beaten team will take home US$2000 [approx. Rwf1.3m].
