Bafana Bafana boss hopes to defy odds

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa coach Gordon Igesund says he is confident that his players can defy the odds and win the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1996.

We’ve got to respect the teams around us. There are some very good teams here, but I think we’re very capable.”Igesund also admitted that he has never seen South Africa’s first Group A opponents Cape Verde play live.
