The first day of the second semester

Having been used to sleeping at 3am after waiting for my parents to sleep just to take full control of the TV, and bulling my other siblings to bed, waking up before 11am was a big problem. And the worst time was when my alarm clock went off and I saw the sun’s light outside on Monday morning.

Having been used to sleeping at 3am after waiting for my parents to sleep just to take full control of the TV, and bulling my other siblings to bed, waking up before 11am was a big problem. And the worst time was when my alarm clock went off and I saw the sun’s light outside on Monday morning. After showering and everything, I found my little brother awake and ready to witness my start of school and his freedom to the remote all day. The one rule not to forget at the start of the semester and more so the January semester is ‘You have to start the first day with a shirt you bought during holidays’. Oh yes, I put on my new yellow shirt and unfortunately the new shoes I had bought were sports shoes and had some green on them. Looking at starting my first day with shoes that I put on the whole of last semester, I was like NO and put on the green and white sport shoes with the yellow shirt, jumped into a taxi and headed straight to my lecture room.I have never regretted waking up so much like I did when I found half the class not present. Really? Though no one got to compliment my shirt but I got to leave with it. After scaring people about the switching off of the duplicate phones by January 2013, everyone had seemed to have worked tooth and nail to get an original phone. Basically the first lesson seemed to be like a ‘phone show’. But with cheap phones. Everyone who had made an improvement wanted their friends to see their new gadget. Later everyone was talking about how they had their best New Year celebrations EVER! I just sat there and waited for another lesson. But even the second lecturer refused to show up. In frustration I immediately ran home. What a boring day it was. I sincerely regretted putting on my new shirt and shoes with only half the class present to witness my finery.
