National league side, Isonga Fc has sacked head coach Vincent Mashami and his technical staff following a poor run of results in the just concluded first round of the league.Head coach Vincent Mashami, goal keeping coach Calliope Kabalisa, team manager Emery Kamanzi and team doctor Patrick Rutamu have all been shown the exit. Mashami was Nshimiyimana’s assistant last season and also Richard Tardy’s right-hand man when Rwanda finished runners-up in the 2011 Africa U-17 championship and qualified for the Fifa U-17 World cup finals in Mexico.The club executive chairman, Gregoire Muramira confirmed the development. "We sacked them after evaluating their performance. The coaching staff is to blame for the poor results this season,” Muramira revealed."We give the team all the necessary assistance and we expect them to perform. They are not here to earn money but to develop as footballers.”Initially, Isonga players were  reportedly promised Rwf500,000 each player for this season and Rwf 100,000 as a monthly salary before the season started last year but Muramira denied making such promises."We never agreed to give them Rwf100,000 as salary every month but we promised to give them some sort of motivation which we are working on now,” he explained."We are trying everything possible such that Isonga Fc cannot be relegated and this is why we want to beef up the technical staff - to start the second leg on a brighter note.” However, Isonga Fc skipper Robert Ndatimana said, "Conditions under which we live and play in are not suitable. We are facing a difficult period but we must come back stronger and better in the second leg and hope to avoid relegation,”"Poor feeding is the main problem here.”"The atmosphere is not good at the club and the players are not getting facilitation as promised. This has hindered our performances this season. Players are not mentally fine and things are not good,” revealed Ndatimana."The state of affairs is not like the previous season when the team was under Augustin Munyandamutsa whose management was better off. "The current management intimidates us and abuse us whenever we request for some of the basic necessities. "Sacking coaches is not the best idea; the problem doesn’t lie with the coaches and players. The problem is solely within the management of the club,” added the former Fifa U-17 finalist.However, what is contradicting is that the decision to sack the staff was done by Ferwafa contrary to what the Ministry of Sports and Culture (who fund the club) had initially requested.The Ministry of Sports and Culture requested national technical director Richard Tardy to evaluate the coaching staff but before the Frenchman could finish his report, the sacking has come as a surprise to many. Assistant coach Innocent Seninga has been handed the reins to lead the team.. On its debut in the league, Isonga finished in the top six last season but they are now struggling at the bottom of the Primus league standings with 8 points in thirteen matches played this season.
