‘Tribute to Aloisea Inyumba’, directed by Eric Kabera, is a documentary about the life of the late Aloisea Inyumba, the former Minister of Gender and Family Promotion in the Prime Minister’s Office who, at 48, succumbed to cancer. The short film was released in December last year and has over 25,000 hits on YouTube.Her husband, Dr. Richard Masozera, talks about how God gave him the strength to bear the tragic news.The documentary narrates her last days starting from when she came from official duty in Canada, to when she went for checkup in Germany and later when she returned to Rwanda. This documentary reminds us all just what a remarkable woman the country lost. However, listening to all the people who were interviewed, what one remembers is what an amazing woman she was, and just how much we must emulate her.
