Editor,I read with keen interest your article in the January 11 edition of The New Times, titled "Rwanda counts on you, Kagame tells youth.”During my previous visits to your beautiful country, I had the pleasure of visiting the  Agahozo- Shalom Youth Village in Rwamagana and L’Esperance Children’s Village in Kigarama too. Both are model villages, which reflect the Government of Rwanda’s firm resolve of supporting non governmental organisations that provide a decent quality of life to our less fortunate children and youth. As His Excellency President Paul Kagame rightly said, Rwanda counts on the youth and it is by supporting such initiatives that the Government sends out a clear message that even the less fortunate are well cared for and looked after in this great nation. It is very encouraging to see these young graduates brimming with confidence, ready to take on the challenges of today’s highly demanding world. Kudos to Anne Heyman-Merrin of Agahozo - Shalom Youth Village and to Victor Monroy of L’Esperance Children’s Village, who look after one and all with great love and affection.Clarence Fernandes
