Woken up last year (2012) by a loud buzzing in my ear: this one will not go away except through much prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Reminded again recently (01/01/13) about Pastor Christian Fuhrer and his congregation at the Nikolai Church in Leipzig (then East Germany) who started weekly "peace prayers” (September 1982) which spread into a non-denominational country-wide movement that brought down the Iron Curtain (1989).

This civilian homegrown solution was achieved without any bullets fired, loss of human lives nor international rhetoric (experts). Rwanda truly means "the centre of the Universe”, which should create a sobering recognition that your domestic affairs invariably "vibrate” like the human diaphragm around the world (like it or not). That is why you keep on attracting the biggest crowd of paparazzi (including two-cents like me). Hence the need to discard human rhetoric -- in favour of this Liepzig Model -- in order to finally bring peace to Eastern Congo.Margaret S.
