Saturday was an exciting day for upcoming hip hop star Lil G and his fans, as the 18 year old launched his first album titled ‘Nimb’umugabo’, in a concert dubbed ‘Bye Bye Vacance’. The concert, which took place at Stade Amahoro’s parking lot, proved to be an exciting event for students and the general public.
Saturday was an exciting day for upcoming hip hop star Lil G and his fans, as the 18 year old launched his first album titled ‘Nimb’umugabo’, in a concert dubbed ‘Bye Bye Vacance’. The concert, which took place at Stade Amahoro’s parking lot, proved to be an exciting event for students and the general public.Among the songs he performed included some that have enjoyed plenty of airtime on local FM radio stations such as Agaciro, Mbabazi, Akagozi, Nimb’umugabo and Umuntu.The concert was graced by various musicians, including Patience, Benzo, TMS, Tom Close, Urban Boys, Dream Boyz, Bruce Melody, Elion Victory and AMAG The Black.Dressed in a black suit and white long-sleeved shirt, and rocking dark glasses, Lil G, real name is Lionel Karangwa, came onstage at around 9p.m."I am so grateful not only because of the turn-up of my fans, but also fellow musicians who managed to come on this event. I’m enjoying their support,” Lil G told The New Times shortly before he joined the crowd.The event went up to 11p.mThe upcoming hip-hop star started his music career in 2007 when he released his first single, dubbed, ‘In the Club’. He later collaborated with Meddy, releasing ‘Nimbumugabo’, a single that heavily contributed to his success in the music industry.
