Mutara enterprises launches new logo

Mutara Enterprises, a furniture making and retailing company Thursday launched a new logo specifically designed to support its five year strategic business plan. In the plan, the company is set to increase its local market share from the current 45 per cent to 55 percent by 2013. This, according to management will position the company as a market leader in the region.

Mutara Enterprises, a furniture making and retailing company Thursday launched a new logo specifically designed to support its five year strategic business plan. In the plan, the company is set to increase its local market share from the current 45 per cent to 55 percent by 2013. This, according to management will position the company as a market leader in the region.

The logo comes at a time the company recently acquired ISO certification. This means their products are compliant to international standards.

"The old logo—MEL was depicting the name of the company but not the product line. The new logo depicts our product line which  is furniture,” said Peter Nkubara, Managing Director Mutara Enterprises.

Incorporated in 1995 with the aim of furnishing and refurbishing offices as well as the homes that were damaged during the 1994 Genocide, Mutara has grown exceptionally. The company now has a factory in Gikondo where furniture is made.

"Our product range includes all kinds of office and home furniture, office partitioning, vertical and venetian blinds, carpeting, curtains, air conditioners, and car-ports just to name a few,” he said.

Customers come from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Congo, Uganda and Tanzania. They include banks, embassies, government, and civil society.

"Mutara Enterprises is not only successful because of the personnel but also we have invested in our credibility and therefore that of our customers.”

The company sources its products from South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, USA and United Arab Emirates.
