More MTN subscribers receive prizes

Twenty-five more MTN subscribers on Thursday received cash prizes as the lucky winners in the ongoing telecom company`s promotion dubbed Sharama 2.

Twenty-five more MTN subscribers on Thursday received cash prizes as the lucky winners in the ongoing telecom company`s promotion dubbed Sharama 2.In an event that took place at the MTN Center in Nyarutarama, four received Rwf 500,000 each, while the others walked away with Rwf 100,000 each.The event follows another one that took place on December 23, 2012 that saw 33 lucky winners get a total sum of Rwf 4.9m, which was a Christmas gift.Salom Nyirinshuti, one of the winners who received Rwf 500,000, believes his win brings success, and that it signifies a happy New Year."Last year, I won Rwf 100, 000, but this time, I have won Rwf 500,000. I think this year is of success to me,” 25-year-old Nyirinshuti, a resident of Gisozi in Gasabo district, said.Nyirinshuti said he also recently won a laptop and motorcycle in the same promotion drive.Alfred Munana, the in charge of Sales and Distribution at MTN, encouraged the public to take part and grab the lots of prizes that will be given out until the end of the promotion.By the end of the promotion, MTN will have given out four cars with lots of other prizes, such as laptops, LG flat screens, and motorcycles, including cash. Currently, two cars have so far been given out.Munana said the third car prize will be given out on January 8."As usual, the more you (customers) send text messages, the more chances you stand to be become the lucky winner,” Munana said.This promotion started on November 21 last year and it is expected to end on January 21.
