Dear editor,

I would like to tell the public that we need to fight women illiteracy if we are to realise development especially in rural areas.

It is and actually should be everybody’s concern to see to it that our continent (Africa) is free of people who cannot read and write.

Men know better that they cannot develop if their wives cannot add, subtract, divide, etc, for they cannot fit in any business. They should thus champion the struggle.

Let us therefore, take our women to informal education so that they may help us in our struggle to realise economic development.
