Apostle Dr Paul Gitwaza of Zion Temple Celebration Centre church 2013 is going to be a year of harvest for Rwanda both spiritually and economically. Institutions will be set up in 2013, to train religious leaders and equip them with more knowledge. Among my  other resolutions for this year, include growing closer to the church congregation socially and economically through equipping them with skills to start up their own entrepreneurship activities for a better life.Faustin Mbundu, Chairman of the Private Sector Federation Plans are underway to engage more the private sector and the different government bodies in 2013, through launching private public dialogue. This will improve businesses.Among the key achievements made in 2012 was the launch of an arbitration centre that is helping ease business in Rwanda through saving time and costs. One of the major challenges was the pressure on the dollar among others.Mary Gahonzire, the Deputy Commissioner General of Rwanda Correctional Services Together with my team, we hope to work towards improving correctional services and production in Rwanda. The biggest challenge in 2012 was the big number of projects which weren’t implemented because of budget limitations.Sheikh Yusuf Mugisha, the head of Darul Quran, Rwanda Ensuring that more Muslims grow stronger in their faith and live their lives on the pillars of Islam will be among the top priorities this New Year. We plan on setting up schools, research and orientation centres that will be pillars for the Islam faith. We also want to set up schools to meet parents’ educational needs. It has come to our realisation that some children are more brilliant than their parents because some parents are illiterate. We are embarking on educating parents as well as more children.Paul Mutuyimana 27, Newspapers vendor I want to work harder and create a personal business in the year 2013. 2012 wasn’t as bad only that some newspapers are expensive which leave us with nothing to save but only little money for survival.Chantal Uwizeyemariya,a Pineapple vendor in GisoziBusiness wasn’t at its best for me in 2012 because the police was always chasing me around and my colleagues from the streets. My plan for this year is to at least be able to sell my pineapples from a market because it’s so hard looking for customers while watching out for policemen who are always chasing us around. I also hope to expand business through selling more foodstuffs other than pineapples.Pacifique Utamuliza, 30, manager Ishimwe Supermarket, in KinambaI want to offer better services.I want to bring in more products to boost my business at the supermarket. The biggest challenge in 2012 was the opening of many supermarkets which led to stiff competition. However this has helped me become more aggressive business wise, thinking of ways to improve business and the quality of products in order to attract more customers.Christopher Rwabuzisoni, a KBS bus driverThis year, I hope to work harder, save money and start up my own business or get a better job. 2012 was a good year since am still alive and business was good since my job wasn’t as tiresome as the roads get better each day and traffic is controlled in a secure manner that eases my work. I call upon traffic police to continue with the good job.
