Rwanda’s football governing body, Ferwafa will put all emphasis on promoting talented young players aged between 12 and 17 years across the country.According to chairman of the Ferwafa Celestin ‘Abega’ Ntagungira, the aim is to build a strong foundation through promoting the young players, who are the future of the country’s football."We have started to look for the young talented players in all corners of the country but they will train in (centre de formations) which will help them to progress,” Abega told Sunday Sport recently.The former CAF and FIFA referee said that with the talent detection drive, led by national technical director and U-20 and U-15 national teams’ head coach Richard Tardy already in full gear, they (Ferwafa) is prepared to offer full support to the programme.Rwanda has found relative success with youth development programmes in recent years, which has seen the U-15 side reach the final of the African championships and also qualified for the first ever Fifa Youth World Cup held in Mexico last year.
