As you walk through the doors of any company, hotel, office or institution, you will surely meet one of these people. Your first impression of them will definitely rely on how they handle you. Meet 30 year old Nadia Kabirigi; a receptionist at Lemigo Hotel. Her ever charming smile makes you feel right at home. Nadia gives Society Magazine a brief glimpse into what her days are like. Before dawn, Nadia gets out of bed, dreading the cold that always greets her. She says a prayer and then lays her bed. To maintain her beautiful skin, water is her secret. After a one hour preparation, she is off to work and at exactly 6:30am, she checks in for duty - ready for a busy day.Nadia has all sorts of activities during the day, ranging from attending to guests, answering calls, keeping the records of each day, dissemination of information to clients and of course wearing that cute smile for the visitors."In this field, you are sure of meeting people of every race, nationality, size and character and sometimes it is stressful. Some people sometimes want to bug you with their issues,” Nadia says. "The secret to making people feel at home is a natural smile,” she adds with a rather bright facial expression.Eight hours or more depending on the weight of the day sums up Nadia’s day, who has been in this field for over six years now-having also worked at the busy International Airport of Bujumbura and Sun Safari Hotel.
