Bizimana promises APR comeback

SundayRayon       vs      APRAPR’s assistant coach Didier Bizimana is confident the military side will come back stronger when they play away to Rayon Sports in a Primus League match due on Sunday at Amahoro stadium.APR was shocked in their quest to close the gap on top teams after a 1-0 loss to this season’s surprise package AS Kigali. APR, who were missing Emery Bayisenge, Ismail Nshutiyamagara and Jacques Cyubahiro, and coach Eric Nshimiyimana, who is serving one-match suspension, showed a lack of passion. The military side also faced serious injuries to midfielder Eric Nsabimana and striker Farouk Ruhinda ahead of the Sunday clash.The former APR defender Bizimana said yesterday, "It’s true we played poorly due to many factors like missing most of our senior players and we never had luck of finding the goal despite making some attempts”."We are going to rectify what went wrong and hope to welcome back some of the injured players in good fitness for the Sunday clash,”"We take every game as it is and are not worried. This will be boost for our players to go out there and play their game,” added Bizimana.This will be second meeting for the traditional rivals in a space of fifteen days this month. On December 18, thirteen-time national football league champions APR thumped bitter rivals Rayon Sports 3-1 to lift the Rwandese Patriotic Front’s 25th anniversary tournament trophy.Youthful strikers Farouk Ruhinda, who scored a brace, and Jacques Cyubahiro were on target for the military side, while skipper Aphrodis Hategikimana scored for Rayon.After the mid-week league action, APR dropped to sixth slot with 16 points, one point ahead of rivals Rayon Sport. The blues are in great form after they thrashed Etincelles 3-2 at Muhanga stadium to move to seventh position.AS Kigali lead the standings with 21 points in ten matches, while Etincelles lie bottom of the standings with five points.
