Christmas is here! Honestly speaking, children are the ones who enjoy their Christmas parties more than the adults do, even though most of them do not even understand why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. As an adult and a Christian, I know why I celebrate Christmas, but at the same time I make sure that my children have fun on this day. There are a few things that we can do to give our children the best Christmas treat ever! After all, Christmas comes once in a year and who knows what next Christmas will be like?PiesI love pies and so do my children. Pies have become an integral part of Christmas baking tradition. When you talk of Christmas pies, the first that comes to mind is the apple pie. Watching a lot of TV has influenced us in more ways than one. Apple pies are those things that we used to see on American movies when growing up those days that most things were only seen and never eaten; until we grew up and learnt how to prepare them for our children. They are a must-have treat for the children. Homemade cookiesNo matter how old or young you are, nothing quite matches homemade Christmas cookies. No one can resist a freshly baked cookie. Whether you prefer yours soft and chewy or hard and crunchy, cookies are delightful treats that have been enjoyed for centuries and children love them. So why not give your children homemade Christmas cookies!DrinksI am not an ambassador for sodas. For the sake of balancing what your children eat and drink, freshly squeezed juice is the best choice for a drink. My children love smoothies, milk shakes and cocktail, so I make sure I have made all these for them so that they can choose what they want to drink. Fresh juices are good for them because at the end of the day they detoxify their little bodies.SweetsI never buy sweets for obvious reasons, but Christmas day is an exception. This is the day that we break a few eating rules, so you let children be themselves and enjoy these little things. If you are buying sweets, do not buy more than a packet, one sweet per child is more than enough.Sweet jellies Children enjoy eating sweet jellies. Life has been made easy; you do not have to prepare sweet jellies at home if you are very busy. A walk into a supermarket and you can pick a packet just enough for one jelly per child.Children are our legacy; it is up to us parents to make them happy while it lasts. Adding some balloons and face painting will surely turn your Christmas party into a jamboree as you watch your children’s little faces lighten up while enjoying themselves. Treat your children this Christmas, and they will remember this day for the longest time in their lives. Merry Christmas!
