BEST exhibitors were recognised at the end of the prosperity trade fair in Kigali on Tuesday. The trade fair which attracted 400 exhibitors was organised by Rwandese Patriotic Front (RPF) in honour and celebration of the achievements the party has registered in the last 25 years.Bank of Kigali was recognised as the best bank exhibitor while Rwanda Tourism University College emerged best in promoting customer care.Bralirwa, the country’s leading brewery, was also recognised for its best strategies, including its retail business operations. Others include Mutara Enterprise (best manufacturers).The trade fair also attracted foreign exhibitors from other countries, including Uganda, Malaysia, India,  Kenya  and Pakistan.Fubisun a Malaysian company dealing in electric appliances, was awarded as best foreign exhibitor."Initiatives like this one that attract exhibitors from other countries are a signal of the good relations we have with other countries but also the confidence they have in operating in the country based on the security and governance that is favourable for foreigners to do business,” said Christophe Bazivamo, the Vice chairman of RPF.Bazivamo, who is also a member of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), pointed out that as the party marks its 25th anniversary, it acknowledges that there is still a lot that needs to be done. "Yes, we have come up with various initiatives to empower people, but the struggle continues,” he said.Bazivamo called on the public to work hard and embrace government programmes, if they are to effectively contribute to the country`s development.The Chief Executive Officer of the Private Sector Federation, Hannington Namara, commended the initiative; being the first prosperity expo of its kind.He said that the initiative will also contribute to the development of the private sector, given the opportunity it gives to the business community to make connections and attract more new customers."The government`s commitment to empower and develop the private sector through creating favourable environment for the business is what has enabled us to get to this level,” Namara said.During the opening of the trade fair, the Secretary General of RPF, Francoise Ngarambe, said that the party can not afford to celebrate its Silver Jubilee without recognising the role of the business community in the country`s development.
