Angola vs RwandaThe national football team, the Amavubi stars, regroup today ahead of Saturday’s international friendly match against Angola set to be played at Benfica do Lubango stadium in Angola.Head coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho confirmed yesterday that the team will kick off preparations with a training session today at Ferwafa grounds. In their first game, Angola was held to a 1-all draw against Gambia in Benguela Province’s Ombaka Stadium, although it was not the result expected by the team for this first friendly match, ahead of the squad’s participation in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.The Palancas Negras face Cameroon in their own backyard in their second friendly match this Wednesday.Angola is using the friendly matches to enhance their preparations for next year’s African Cup of Nations due to be held in South Africa.For Rwanda, Micho wants to use the game to continue preparing the national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers as well as the CHAN qualifiers, all due in March and June next year.The Serbian has been given a boost as striker Jerome Sina has returned back to action following a quick recovery from a thumb injury.Young Africans [Tanzania] midfielder Haruna Niyonzima and Victoria University [Uganda] midfielder Charles Mwesigye Tibingana are the only foreign-based players likely to be a given a nod for the upcoming engagement.Angola is in group A of the CAN 2013 together with South Africa, Cape Verde and Morocco.
