More than 100 Rwandans yesterday graduated with bachelors and master’s degrees in various disciplines from the Amity University, in India, after completing their online studies through Tel- Education.
More than 100 Rwandans yesterday graduated with bachelors and master’s degrees in various disciplines from the Amity University, in India, after completing their online studies through Tel- Education.The 3rd graduation was held at Kigali Institute of Education, where the graduates have been undertaking their lectures.Thirteen graduated with Masters of Business Administration and International Business (MBA IB), 42 with Post Graduate Diploma in Information and Technology (PGDIT), 25 Bachelors of Finance and Investment Administration, (BFIA), 12 Bachelors of Sciences, in Information and Technology (BSs IT) while 10 graduated with Masters in Finance.The acting vice Rector in charge of Academic Affairs at KIE, André Muhirwa thanked the Amity University for the opportunity given to Rwanda and other African countries in general for students to complete their studies."We are very proud to partner with Amity University; the privileged Indian Private University under Pan Africa e-Network project of the Government of India,” said Muhirwa."We appreciate the mutual collaboration between our respective institutions enabling Rwandese to gain skills and obtain awards using modern pedagogy which is learner-centered but also demonstrating the benefits that new ICTs hold for education,” he added.He urged the graduates to use the skills acquired in the development of the country."We are a handful of men and women who are successful strugglers and invincible seekers of success and truth. Today we enter the real world to face the challenge of putting our preparation into practice and show that we are capable of contributing to the development of our nation,” said Chantal Bwanakweli, one of the graduates.The Founder and president of Amity Group Dr. Ashok K. Chouham in a message noted that African countries have potential and are so competitive.
