Uganda’s SC Villa and Burundi’s Vital’O are expected in the country this evening ahead of the RPF’s 25th anniversary football tournament slated to kick off on Saturday at Stade de Kigali.organising committee’s member, Richard Gahonzire, said that Vital’O will be the first to arrive in the country.SC Villa’s 26-man party, led by club chairman, Fred Muwema, will also present President Paul Kagame with an award recognising his contribution to SC Villa and football at large.President Kagame supported SC Villa during his stay in Uganda.Former RPA commander, the late Gen. Fred Rwigyema, was also a distinguished supporter of the club.Rwandan league champions, APR FC, will kick off the tournament against Vital’ O, the same team they will face in next year’s African Champions league.Six-time league champions Rayon Sport will face Villa Sports Club on Sunday. The third position play-off and the final match will be played on December 18.The winner will walk away with US$10,000 (about Rwf6.6m) beside the trophy, while first runner-up will get US$7,000, US$5,000 is reserved for third placed team, while the fourth team will receive US$3,000.The anniversary will be marked under the theme: Governance, prosperity and dignity for our people.
