Trio begin quest for Short Course Worlds honours

ELOI Imaniraguha, Alphonsine Agahozo and Mehboob Chantiral will participate in the 11th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), which starts today in Istanbul, Turkey.Imaniraguha and Chantiral will take part in the Men’s 50m freestyle events, while London Olympian Agahozo will compete in women’s 50m freestyle.The local swimming federation expects the three to do the country proud in the competition as they are young, dedicated and hardworking.The FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) or Short Course Worlds is a five-day competition held every two years, where the world comes to witness record-breaking feats and action-packed races, with swimming stars from all continents. The competition will attract 800 swimmers together.
